Perspectives.  We all see what we want to – whether it is our position or “class” in society, or our role in our family and community.

I often talk about people’s world-views.  Our experiences and education profoundly influence how we see ourselves, each other, and the world at-large.

We had our second big event to attend in Fort Worth, Texas – it was amazing.  Nullify Now is an educational project created by the Tenth Amendment Center and WeRefuse.com.  They had a tremendous lineup of speakers – if you are able to make any of their events in Orlando, Chattanooga, Phoenix, and Los Angeles, I highly encourage you to do so.

We see ourselves as Americans (hopefully, most of the time).  We also can categorize ourselves by our respective states – Texans, Coloradans, Floridians, etc.  There were several points brought up last night that were important to remember, and they all have to do with state’s rights vs. the federal government’s rights.

Perhaps the most important of these is that the federal government derives its power from the states (versus the concept that the states derive their power from the federal government).  Remember that – states have more power that the feds… all we have to do is change our perspective, re-educate ourselves, and put the power of the tenth amendment to work.
